Spring Pack Measurement Device
Spring pack displacement measurement is essential for the proper setting of an MOV torque switch. Spring pack relaxation can result in excessive spring pack displacement. If the displacement becomes excessive, the spring pack can bottom out and cause an undesirable locked rotor condition.
Using Teledyne Test Services’ Spring Pack Measurement Device (SPMD) as part of an MOV diagnostic testing program assures that the spring pack is operating in its allowable range.
